Overnight Care
Sleeping Nights (Usually between 10pm – 7am)
A member of staff can stay in your home overnight to provide you with the peace of mind that should an emergency arise, they are there to assist you.
This arrangement is suitable for you if the staff member can expect to normally have a good night’s sleep (not woken more than twice during the night)
Sit-in Service
When you opt for a sitting service, a carer will stay awake and cover for a regular carer who would normally provide your care full-time.
Waking Nights (Usually between 10pm – 7am)
A member of staff can stay in your home and remain awake and on duty during the night in order to assist you when required.
This arrangement is suitable for you if you need regular assistance during the night to use the toilet or commode safely, to be assisted in turning regularly in bed to avoid pressure sores or for palliative care for example.
Staff are able to carry out other duties for you quietly during their time with you while you are sleeping e.g. ironing.
